Safe Processing A Main Concern

These days it is not enough to look at ourselves as simply being part of the feed business: We are part of the global food chain.

Which is why we focus so closely on feed safety at each of our manufacturing facilities. Today all five of our US feed plants are certified under the Animal Feed Industry Association’s (AFIA) Safe Feed/Safe Food Program. And we’re taking steps to help others do the same. As official liaison between the International Feed Industry Federation and the United Nations’ Food and Agricultural Organization, PotashCorp’s Dr. Steve Auman has been instrumental in coordinating and developing the Manual of Good Practices for the Feed Industry on Safe Feed/Safe Food procedures.
